An Exquisite French Empire Ormolu and Cut-Crystal Clock, c. 1815, attributed to Baccarat. Made from the finest quality mercury gilding ormolu, this clock depicts an allegory seated on a rock, cased with carved precious cut-glass panels in the early 1800’s. Clocks like this are extremely rare and aren’t seen so often. This is definitely an amazing clock to own for collectors, and curators of fine precious objects. 21″ high x 14″ wide x 6″ deep The clock is in very good condition. All glass panels are in mint condition.
